Symposium at Princeton University (2007)

"Georgian Folk Revival"

Organized by John A. Graham. Presenters offered academic papers on various topics relating to the preservation and theory of Georgian folk and sacred music. The presenters included Lauren Ninoshvili, Andrea Kuzmich, John Graham, and others. The symposium was followed by a performance by the visiting Zedashe Folk Ensemble from Sighnaghi, Georgia.

 
 

Symposium at Dartmouth College (2005)

"Georgian Arts and Culture"

Organized by John A. Graham together with Dartmouth Prof. of Linguistics Ioana Chitoran and Dartmouth Prof. of Music Theodore Levin.
The Symposium featured talks by Prof. Ken Yalowitz, former US Ambassador to Georgia, Williams College Prof. Darra Goldstein, Ioana Chitoran, and John Graham. The symposium was followed by a performance of the Anchiskhati Church Choir, who were artists in residence at Dartmouth College for that week.
